The Online Exam for the posts of Assistants, Associates, and Assistant Mangers will have four sections. These are tabulated below along with the number of questions, maximum marks and time duration for each section:

As you can see, the different sections are separately timed and you will have to complete each of the sections within the allotted time.

It is to be noted that there is negative marking for incorrect answers. That is, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Although the LIC HFL Exam Pattern for the selection of all the three posts is same, the exam will be separate for the three posts. Questions will be available only in English language.

Based on the number of candidates appearing for each of the exams (i.e. the three exams for the three posts), the number of vacancies and the difficulty level of the exam, LIC HFL will fix LIC HFL cutoff marks for the respective posts. There are two types of cutoffs – overall and sectional. Candidates will have to clear both the cutoffs in order to appear for the next stage of the LIC HFL selection procedure.

In case, multiple sessions are held, the scores of the candidates will be normalized using equipercentile method.

LIC HFL will shortlist candidates for Interview based on their performance in the LIC HFL Online Exam. The number of vacancies too will be considered for shortlisting candidates. Candidates will have to get their documents verified on the day of the Interview. In case, they fail to provide the necessary documents or any eligibility criteria are not met, they will not be allowed to appear for the Interview.

Final selection of candidates for the post of LIC HFL Assistant, LIC HFL Associate and LIC HFL Assistant Manager will be based strictly on merit. The combined marks of the candidates in Online Exam and Interview will be considered for this purpose. The selected candidates will then go for Medical Examination by LIC HFL authorized Medical Examiner and if they are found fit, they will be appointed as LIC HFL Assistants, LIC HFL Associates and LIC HFL Assistant Managers, respectively.
