Stenography is also known as a court reporter, The skill of stenography demands accuracy and speed, as a court reporter has to complete a stenography course that is of 6months to 1-year duration. After getting certified as a stenographer or court reporter, he can practice as a licensed Stenographer legal court reporter. Stenographers are in charge of transcribing exact legal or medical proceedings for the court record. Stenographers are hired primarily by courts or legal firms. Stenographers should be able to type 250-300 words per minute and should have good listening skills, strong focus levels, good verbal knowledge.
